Over 100 pine bushes planted in Vila Actual de Santo António


Timber have been planted through native scholars

Vila Actual de Santo António council celebrated Nationwide Local Wooded area Day on Wednesday (November 23) through planting over 100 pine bushes within the Mata Nacional das Dunas Litorais, a neighborhood wooded area space.

The initiative was once performed through scholars and academics from the António Aleixo and Professor Caldeira Alexandre colleges, with every pupil having planted one tree.

“The measure continues the Mata das Dunas Litorais reforestation undertaking, began in 2020/2021 through the Municipal Wooded area Technical Place of business, and targets to advertise the significance of shielding and planting species which might be part of herbal heritage,” the council says.

Additionally in attendance have been VRSA deputy mayor Ricardo Cipriano, councillor Conceição Pires, VRSA parish council president Valentim Santos and representatives from the Nationwide Wooded area and Nature Conservation Institute (ICNF), which equipped the bushes.
